If you are a sports fan, or more importantly a Big 12 sports fan, you need to check this podcast out. This is Part 1 of what will end up being 2 or 3 parts with Salina's own, James Westling. You may not know the name, but you probably know the voice! He has advanced from sports talk in Salina, to the voice of the Bethany Swedes, to calling Big 12 football and basketball games on ESPN.
Recording this episode went by so fast. We cover how he got into the business, the day that ESPN called him (finally!) and some of the things that go into broadcasting a game with travel, logistics, and broadcast partners (more to come).
