Season 4 Episode 1: Guess Who’s Back, Back Again...

If you hear Eminem in your head after reading the title, you are with me!

We are back for Season 4!  Felt good to get back to it after taking the summer off.  In this Episode, you hear why Morgan and her friends all of a sudden have a southern accent, our take on Cale Gundy resigning from OU football last night, and hear about some of the new restaurants that are opening in the area here soon!

We also get into some politics, including the current bill that was passed last night, the current administration "filling in" the wall, why we don't feel bad for Britney Griner, and how the current administration is "redefining" the term "recession".

Oh, and find out how Phillip manages to tie in Good Ol JR (from WWE fame) and the Von Erichs with current politics....

Season 3 Episode 13: Goodbye To College Sports As We Know It

In this episode, we  start by talking about our recent trips to Jamaica and Las Vegas, and move into some Royals and Yankees talk.   We also try to figure out why Salina sports don't have Concession stands and why restrooms are bad or non-existent.

The main topic of this meeting is about the new NIL initiative by the NCAA and why that along with the transfer portal is ruining college sports.  Then we end with Kevin's disappointing trip to PF Changs.

Season 3 Episode 12: Kansas State Has a New Basketball Coach!

In this episode, we start off with discussing the dismissal of Bruce Weber and the hiring of Jerome Tang at Kansas State, and why we think this is a good hire!

We also dive into our trips to NYC and NOLA, and briefly discuss Salina losing SkyWest Jet service.  Apparently NYC is getting cleaner, while NOLA gets dirtier.

Ambucs has built their 500th Ramp!  We talk about what that means, and mention a few awesome guys who donate time almost every Saturday morning to build ramps for people in need.  Something to be proud of and celebrate!

 

 

Season 3 Episode 11: Talking Cars with the guys from The Garage in Salina, Kansas

Have you heard of The Garage in Salina, KS but don't know what it is about?  Or are you into cars?  Then this is the episode for you!

In this episode, we talk to Matt and Calvin from The Garage about how the car museum came about, and what the museum is all about.  We dive into the cars on display now, what they plan to display in the future, and all of the interactive things to do at the museum.  We also talk about where they get the cars on display, and what goes into finding them.

We also discuss their background, the McPherson College automotive program, and what has surprised them running a museum with no museum background to really speak of.

Season 3 Episode 9: Basketball Lessons from Coach Chris Fear

In this Episode we have the coach of the Salina Central Lady Mustangs Basketball team Chris Fear join us.  We cover all kinds of topics:  Coach's history and how he got to Salina, differences in coaching boys and girls, shot clocks in High School basketball, and Coach's pre-game routine among other topics.  We also review his current basketball team and expectations for the rest of the season.  Phil also gives some tips to Coach Fear, even though he is not a basketball coach.

Kevin vents about the NET score when it comes to the latest Bracketology and why OU is in but KSU is not.  Oh, and The Original Grande is open in Salina as of Monday!

Season 3 Episode 8: Are you ready to BBQ?

We are back on our normal schedule with the next episode! Today, we discussed:

- upcoming Salina Invitational Basketball Tournaments

- Big 12 BBall season &why Kevin is ready for Weber to leave MHK

- We dove into some politics and Covid talk

 

At the end, we discussed some of our favorite BBQ restaurants and Kevin offered some tips and tricks to have your next BBQ turn out amazing!

 

Season 3 Episode 7: We are Back Baby!

After a bit of a delay, we are back!  In this episode, we talk about our recent trips to California and Puerto Rico and some of the travel challenges we had.

We also talk some football - the KSU Bowl Game against LSU and the OU coaching change to Salina native and former KSU football player and coach Brent Venables. 

We also ramble on a bit about the crazy wind storm Salina had a few weeks ago, and how Phillip's fence handled the wind, and why KU fans get all stirred up over Sandstorm.

Season 3 Episode 6: Did Kevin really root for KU?

Warning: This episode is football heavy.  What in the world is going on in Big 12 football when KSU fans are rooting for KU?  In this episode, we discuss KSU's winning streak, OU's loss to Baylor, and KU's win over Texas.  We also touch on the inital CFP rankings and why they are a fraud, as well as Kevin's trip to Lawrence.

We also discuss the local election a few weeks back, and why Phillip should not trust Paul to take out his trash.

Season 3 Episode 5: Did KU really beat OU?

In this episode, we discuss the weekend's OU and KSU's football games....and get to hear another classic Phillip meltdown about OU!  We get into some politics; from Psaki's stupid comments, to local elections, and even discuss the Salina housing shortage a bit.  We also talk about what could be the "Lost Generation" and how we recover from the employee shortage and issues around training people currently entering the work force.
