Season 3 Episode 4: OU Finally beat Kansas State

In this podcast, we discuss KSU's first loss to OU in football since we started this podcast, and we discuss and make predictions on the Red River Rivalry. We also give a couple "lock of the week" predictions.

 

We also discuss Squid Game, Salvi's great season, the upcoming election for city commissioners and the ordinance that is on the ballot, the housing situation in Salina, and Kevin's recent experience at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Season 3 Episode 3: Going to Restaurant School...

Not really.  We are not qualified to teach that school.  But we can talk about what we like and don't like at restaurants when dining out; from ambiance, to cleanliness, to service, and of course the food!  

We also discuss some of our favorite restaurants and our favorite dishes..some that have changed our lives forever!

Of course we also discuss the first two weeks of the college football season, and is Kansas State in trouble?

Season 3 Episiode 2: Big 12 Football Preview and Conference Realignment

In this episode, we have special guest and OSU Cowboy Joel Phelps on with us to preview the KSU, OU, and OSU football season.  We discuss strengths and weaknesses of each team, what their season and records will look like, and where they finish up in the Big 12 standings.  We also do a short preview of other teams in the conference as well.

Then we dive into conference realignment, the SEC and Big12's future may hold, and why KSU's perception is so bad nationally. 

Season 3 Episode 1: We Are BACK!

After a busy summer, Kevin and Phillip are back for Season 3!  In this episode we discuss our Summer trips to Chicago and Boston, and how the softball season went for Kevin's daughters team.

We also touch on the Summer Olympics that just completed, and what we think about the new Tennis Complex that is proposed here in Salina.

And last but not least, after Kevin met Mama Heath this summer and shared stories...Kevin brings up a story from Phillips past.... 

Season 2 Episode 16: Let's wing it!

Because Kevin's schedule is so hit or miss, we decided to schedule this recording at the last minute and wing it.  Of course we have a "Biden Bite" in this one, but also discuss having a Senior in HS graduating this weekend, why Kevin is responsible for the 11 game losing streak the KC Royals got to experience the past few weeks, and how Softball has ruined us from being able to watch a Baseball game!  We also talk about the mask mandates being lifted, Salina South Middle School's Guitar concert, and the Colonial Pipeline/gas shortage.

In this episode, we discuss our recent Travels, and the weird Covid rules associated with traveling. We voice our opinions on the City of Salina continuing the mask ordinance, talk a little baseball, and a little politics.  

Season 2 Episode 14: Life and Football with Michael Bishop

For those of you who are K-State football fans, you know him and love him.  IMO, the greatest QB in KSU History.  Heisman Trophy runner up, Davey O'Brien Award winner, Consensus All American, and one of the only guys in the world that can say Tom Brady was his backup.

This was so much fun to record after a great day of golf and hanging out with #7.  We talk football, compare Coach Snyder to Coach Belichick, and what Tom Brady was like to hang out with back in 1999.  But we also talk about life, how his stroke changed his life, family, and why he is a High School football coach.

S2E13: COVID-19 - 1 year later

This was probably one of the most informational podcasts we have done to date. We welcomed Dr. Sean Herrington to follow up our most listened to podcast that we recorded almost exactly 1 year ago to revisit COVID-19. Our first repeat guest!

 

First, we tackle the very important topics of Chick-Fil-A vs. Popeyes and the NCAA basketball tournament.

 

After that, we discuss our predictions and thoughts around Covid from 1 year ago, we discuss Sean's opinion of the vaccine, and how our lives are different from just 1 year ago when it was still the "coronavirus" and you could contract the virus from drinking an ice cold Corona. Wow, have we come a long way in a year.

Season 2 Episode 12: Why do we screw everything up?

In this episode, Kevin and Phillip are all over the place.  We discuss politics, we wrap up the Big 12 basketball season, we discuss banning Dr. Seuss, KU searching for a new football coach AGAIN, what Salina has screwed up this time, and what we think about the Dallas Mavericks not wanting to play the National Anthem before games.  See, told you we were all over the place!
